For one of our clients, we are looking for a Functional application manager NGES.


Being part of an international project team, you will work in a scrum team with different colleagues on the implementation and transition for the new Next Generation EMS SCADA system. During the coming transition phase, cooperation with both the vendor and end-users is important. This will support a successful go-live and will also prepare your team to provide adequate application management support during and after the go-live. As the systems are used 24/7 and are critical for daily electricity supply (e.g. keeping the lights on), an extensive testing phase will be planned, in which the Functional Application Manager has an important role.


Communication with the vendor on the requirements to be implemented;

When necessary, you take action to find the right information within, to implement the EMS/SCADA system conform to expectations;

Help prepare change requests and coordinate implementation ;

Ensuring quality, by checking functional descriptions with the vendor proposed implementation and design;

Defining and executing acceptance tests together with the vendor;

Within your own domain, capturing relevant knowledge of the new Next Gen EMS SCADA solution, both for end-users and other Application Managers.


You have completed at least a Bachelor's degree in the direction of Electrical Engineering-Energy;

You have knowledge of and affinity with high voltage networks and automation within a technical environment;

You are a real team player and you have good communication and social skills and you can transfer your knowledge well to others;

You have a good command of the English language, both verbally and in writing;

You take ownership of the challenges you face and are able to perform in a stressful situation under time pressure;

It is a plus if you have knowledge and experience in the energy sector, especially in the field of energy transportation.
